We’d like to offer an ENORMOUS congrats to the rock star Morning Milers in the Miami-Dade Parks & Rec summer camp program. These amazing kids of all ages ran, walked and even wheeled (in wheel chairs) 32, 298.75 miles! When millions of other children were loafing on the couch this past summer, our South Florida Morning Milers were lacing up their kicks and getting fit! Are we proud? Heck yeah! Are you inspired? We hope so!
Thanks to the over 2,000 children who participated, to the amazing staff of the Miami-Dade County Parks and to AvMed Health Plans who sponsored 20 programs down south. The adults made aggressive decisions to ensure these children had the opportunity to become more fit and the children literally RAN with it. We’re oozing pride over here.
